RISING STAR AWARD

The Rising Star Award was presented to Amy Stewart at KC/IABC's 2009 Bronze Quill Awards Gala. The Rising Star Award honors a professional in the first 10 years of his or her career who demonstrates leadership, professionalism and strong ethics; continues to learn more about the industry and grow professionally; and serves as a role model for other youthful communicators.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

KC/IABC recognized Amy Stewart as their March Volunteer of the Month. After attending her first monthly luncheon and meeting a few KC/IABC board members, Amy jumped in and became an integral part of planning the 2009 Business Communicators Summit.

Amy was responsible for lining up speakers and keeping in contact with them leading up to the event. She also updated the KC/IABC Facebook page and led the “12 Tweets of BCS” on Twitter. Now, Amy is helping with the 2009 Bronze Quill Awards Gala, stepping up to work on a high-priority project.
